Beauty Testing
Last week I shot a beauty test shoot with make-up artist Ruth Manion Palmer and recently signed model Martha from Boss Model Management. Taking inspiration from Noise Magazine, we wanted to create a fierce series of images.
Different evening looks allowed for Martha to unfold before our eyes. I do like working with new models as it’s a good opportunity for me to direct and learn how they are using their body, and what works well with their facial features as they too are learning for themselves. Fortunately for us Martha’s porcelain skin tone and petite facial features were perfect for the looks we were re-creating. Continue reading

Anouska Bolton Lee Photoshoot
Anouska is a wonderful model and actress I met her on a fashion shoot in London a few weeks ago and was very impressed with her. I decided to arrange a test in Manchester. Nik Lloyd stylist did a great job fashion styling Anouska and Cheryl Brierley Duff Makeup artist did a fine job. We shot at the Circle Club in Manchester a venue only comparable to a classical French Night Spot from the 1940’s. Continue reading
Art Nude Testing
Recently I was inspired by some art nude work published in a photography journal. I found the model Rebecca on a model agency site and decided to book her for a photo-shoot. Aimed to create a variation of the inspired work . Rebecca is a fantastic dancer and this is reflected in her posture and poise in the images. Continue reading
